Master Loft Retreat (3rd Floor): A showstopper with a king bed, futon, spa-style soaker tub, upgraded walk-in shower, Roku TV, desk, and wraparound views of the ocean, pond, and marsh. Sunrise coffee or sunset cocktails—this is your sanctuary.

For us, being away from people & being with our pup was the main goal. So, being at the end of the island was just what we needed. The pictures and descriptions are accurate. It was so relaxing to sit on the balcony and watch the waves - same views from the dining room table and also from the downstairs bedroom. Short walk to beach and also a short walk to the end of island for fishing. As other people have mentioned, the floors are slightly uneven, but that didn't bother us at all. If I have to say something bad - There are a lot of stairs. My senior pup and father in law had a hard time with those. And I wish there was more parking. We are a big family with adult children & grandchildren. We were moving cars around a lot. We did have a minor issue which was fixed shortly after reporting it. The communication with rental agency (via text) is top notch.

The beach outside of this house is beautiful and not crowded at all because the water there is not safe for swimming. It’s wonderful for walking and playing in the sand. If you want to swim you can drive to the nearest public beach access about a mile away.

Amazing location right at north end of island. Peaceful and quiet. Great views. Family friendly. We enjoyed our long weekend. Only note to be considered is the primary bedroom, the king bedroom is actually an open loft above main living level so privacy is limited but mainly anyone in the primary loft hears EVERYTHING going on in living room and kitchen as it’s open lofted above the open concept living level. Sleeping in isn’t an option of anyone is awake on main level. Views were spectacular from house. Lots of deck space with both ocean and march/inlet views. Well stocked kitchen. All n all a great getaway perfect for families or anyone looking for the quieter more nature side of the island like we were. Lots of great animal watching from decks.

This house has an attached boardwalk that leads you directly to the beach. The boardwalk starts right behind the house.

The unit is located very close to the sound, it is not advised to swim in the ocean at the sound. The current and surf are very unpredictable. You can fish in the ocean behind the unit as well as at the North Topsail fishing pier located a mile or two away. There are places for dining, shopping, and entertainment about 13 miles away, closer to Surf City on the island, as well as options a little closer in Sneads Ferry right off the North Topsail high-rise bridge.
